Valley

A valley is a low area between hills or mountains, often with a river running through it. Valleys are formed through erosion by water or glaciers over millions of years.

There are different types of valleys:

• River Valleys – Carved by flowing water, usually V-shaped (e.g., Grand Canyon, USA).
• Glacial Valleys – Formed by glaciers, typically U-shaped (e.g., Yosemite Valley, USA).
• Rift Valleys – Created by tectonic plate movements (e.g., Great Rift Valley, Africa).
• Hanging Valleys – Smaller valleys that meet larger ones at a height, often creating waterfalls (e.g., Bridalveil Fall in Yosemite).

North Bengal is a beautiful region in the northern part of West Bengal, India, known for its scenic landscapes, tea gardens, wildlife, and cultural diversity. It includes the districts of Darjeeling, Kalimpong, Jalpaiguri, Alipurduar, Cooch Behar, Uttar Dinajpur, Dakshin Dinajpur, and Malda.
